Website for Aktivní Litovel’s municipal sports venues

The website of the operator of the sports venues in Litovel: swimming pool, sports halls, gym and outdoor pitches in one place. A clear structure for two locations (Vítězná and Sokolka), class timetables and a link to the booking system, so visitors can book in a few clicks.

Starting point

Aktivní Litovel runs two locations in the town: Vítězná, with a swimming pool and a sports hall, and Sokolka. People come to the website for three things above all: where everything is, when it’s open and how to book a venue. They needed one clear website for both locations, with the news in one place and the shortest possible path to a booking.

Process

  1. Structure by location. I organised the content around where people actually go: Sokolka and Vítězná, and within Vítězná the hall and the pool.
  2. Design in Figma. First the home page and the location template, which all the other pages are built on.
  3. Development in Next.js. The pages are generated in advance and run on Vercel.

Key decisions

  • Booking stayed in iSportSystem. Instead of a custom booking system, the Rezervovat (Book) button in the header of every page leads straight to the system the venues already use.
  • Each location has its own page with its venues, news and contact details, so anyone heading to Vítězná doesn’t have to wade through information about Sokolka.
  • Accessibility from the start. The site has an accessibility statement, and both the Rezervovat button and the social media links announce in advance that they open in a new window.

Result

A button in the header of every page leads to booking, and visitors find both locations on one website. In Lighthouse (measured in October 2026), the site scores full marks on mobile for accessibility, best practices and SEO (100 / 100 / 100).
